From the summer of 1963,when Gil Lusk and I worked together at Castillo de San Marcos NM in St. Augustine, Florida, I have followed his National Park Service career closely. Wherever he has served, he has had a major impact on the NPS , as well as,in the position where he was assigned. I have no doubt that this book will raise questions that will challenge future generations of conservationist and park managers.
